My life long interest and curiosity about death, dying and the after-life have led me to many teachers and workshops in this field and to become a Hospice Volunteer and a Midwife to the Dying. To be of spiritual support to another while they are in their dying process is, to me, a sacred offering.
It is with reverence to this process that I offer "Final Acts of Beauty" to the dying. It is an offering that fulfills my personal need to serve the community and to do what I love. I have been invited to Hospice facilities, hospitals, nursing homes and private homes to administer beauty rites to the dying. These have included haircuts, facials, manicures and even a touch of blush.
I have helped people "cross over "since I was a young girl. At that time I didn't know that there was a name for this. In Shamanism this is known as physcopomp* work. This subject continues to be a personal study of research and development.
*Greek word literally meaning "guide of souls."
In Jungian psychology, the psychopomp is a mediator between the unconsciousand conscious realms.
